RTX 5080: The second best of the Series offers 10,752 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM. Despite its narrowed 256-bit memory interface, it achieves 960GB/s bandwidth, almost similar to the RTX 4090. It is also rumored a 24GB variant may launch later.
RTX 5070: This mid-range option claims to match the RTX 4090’s performance with the use of DLSS 4 Multi Frame Gen. Featuring 6,114 CUDA cores and 12GB VRAM, with 672GB/s memory bandwidth, its a solid upgrade over the RTX 4070.
RTX 5060: The budget contender, expected to come later this year, focuses on addressing the shortfalls of its predecessor, RTX 4060. Details are scarce but it is hoped to offer better bandwidth and value for budget gamers.
AMD’s RX 9000 Series: A big Wind for Gamers.
AMD’s new RX 9000 Series came in HOT, with the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 as the stars of the show, featuring 16GB of GDDR6 of memory, third-gen raytracing and next level AI acceleration. If you are a gamer these cards are a dream come true!

Raytracing: Third-gen raytracing accelerators make lighting, shadows and reflections look incredibly realistic. Games never looked this good!

Time to address the elephant in the room, the GPUs shortage. Thanks to a 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Taiwan that damaged TSMC’s production, over 30,000 high-end wafers were damaged, making Nvidia’s RTX 5090 and 5080 GPUs almost impossible to find.
Then there is the AI boom. A HUGE part of the latest GPUs are being gobbled up for AI research by companies like OpenAI and Google, leaving gamers and creators fighting over leftovers. Prices skyrocketed, with the top of the series models like of RTX 5090 selling for over $3000 on resale market. Scalpers and bots aren’t helping either, making it even harder to get your hands on a card on a reasonable price.
But we shouldn’t lose hope yet! Inside sources expect things to start improving by mid 2025. TSMC is working tirelessly to restore production to post earthquake levels, and Nvidia is ramping up manufacturing. Nvidia still dominates the market with 65%! share but AMD and Intel are not standing still.
